Step by step instructions for logging into your accounts for whatever type of accounts you need to access:

NOTE: Make sure to upload the correct site link for the Capital One Auto Login by clicking the link as it has been provided here: https://www.capitalone.com/.

Credit Cards

1. From the account dropdown menu, select the option for "Credit Cards".

2. In the fields that then appear under the word "Credit Cards" one on the left requires you to enter your username. Enter your username in that field.

3. In the field to the right of the one you entered your username is one that requires you to enter your password. Enter your password there in that field.

4. Click the green button located under the field where you entered your password titled "Log In". This will take you into your selected account.

 

Banking

1. From the account dropdown menu, select the option for "Banking".

2. In the field that then appears under the word "Banking", it requires you to enter your user ID, customer #, or saver ID. Enter your preferred choice of those three in that field.

3. Click the green button titled "Continue" located under the field where you entered your information.

4. You will be shown two logos of two account types for you to select one. The options are "Capital One Bank" or "Capital One 360". Select which account type you are looking to access.

 

If you chose "Capital One Bank", follow these steps:

5. A Field will appear for you to enter your password. Enter your password in the field provided.

6. Click the green "Log In" button under the password you entered to proceed into your selected account.

 

If you chose "Capital One 360", follow these steps:

5. If you are not on the computer that you normally use to access the account, your security questions will show on this page. You will need to answer the security questions with the answers you provided when creating your account. If you are on the same computer, continue with entering your password and proceeding into your account.

6. If you had to enter answers to your security questions in step 5, click the blue "continue" button in order to proceed into your account.

 

Auto Loans

1. From the account dropdown menu, select the option for "Auto Loans".

2. In the two fields that appear when you choose this option, enter your user ID in the field on the left.

3. In the field to the right of the user ID field, enter your password information.

4. Click the green login button to proceed into your requested account.

 

Share Builder Investing

1. From the account dropdown menu, select the option for "Share Builder Investing".

2. Enter the username for the account you are about to access in the field provided.

3. Click the green "continue" button located under the text field.

4. When you set up your account, you had to choose an image/picture to associate with logging in. Your image/picture should be showing on the screen if you completed step 3. To confirm this is the image you selected, enter your password in the password field below the image/picture.

5. Under the password field there is a "Go To" line with a dropdown menu. From the menu, choose which place within your account you will like to be taken by clicking it in the menu list.

6. Click the green "Sign In" button to proceed to your account.

 

Home Loans

They have three different login options for this category. Follow the instructions for your particular account as stated below:

Capital One 360 Mortgage / Home Equity

1. From the account dropdown menu, select the option for "Home Loans".

2. Highlight the first selection titled "Capital One 360 Mortgage / Home Equity" by clicking on it.

3. Enter your customer # or your saver ID in the text field that shows up below the three account options.

4.  Click the green continue button to proceed.

5. If you are not on the computer that you normally use to access the account, your security questions will show on this page. You will need to answer the security questions with the answers you provided when creating your account. If you are on the same computer, continue with entering your password and proceeding into your account.

6. If you had to enter answers to your security questions in step 5, click the blue "continue" button in order to proceed into your account.

 

Capital One Mortgage

1. From the account dropdown menu, select the option for "Home Loans".

2. Highlight the first selection titled "Capital One 360 Mortgage / Home Equity" by clicking on it.

3. Click the green "continue" button located under the account type selections.

4. Enter your user ID in the first field provided.

5. Enter your password in the field below your user ID.

6. Scroll down until you will see the red "Sign in" button and click the button to sign in to your account.

 

Capital One Home Equity

1. From the account dropdown menu, select the option for "Home Loans".

2. Highlight the first selection titled "Capital One Home Equity" by clicking on it.

3. Enter your user ID in the first field that appears.

4. Enter your password in the field next to the field for the user ID.

5. Click the green "login" button to proceed into your account.

 

 

 

If you need to reset any of the user logins, customer numbers, passwords, etc., follow the steps listed below depending on your specific account type.

 

Credit Cards

If you have forgotten your username, follow these steps:

1. Click the word 'username' next to the word "Forgot" which is located underneath the "Log In" button or you may click the link provided here https://login.capitalone.com/loginweb/forgotidm/forgotuser.do.

2. In the dropdown menu for account type choose whether the account is for "Credit Card" or "Small business Credit Card".

3. In the four fields that appear under the account type line, enter your sixteen digit account number.

4. On the next line are fields for your date of birth. Correct the three fields until they reflect the correct month, date and year of birth that is on file for the account you need to reset username for.

5. In the next fields on the next line are fields that are requiring your social security number. Enter your information there in the spaces provided.

6. If the account type you chose is "Small Business Credit Card", you will have an additional field appear that is asking for your Tax ID number. Enter this information in the field provided.

NOTE for Small Business Credit Card Account Holders: If you did not create the account using the Tax ID it’s acceptable to bypass entering it as long as you have done Step 5.

7. Click the green button to proceed to step 2 and follow the instruction to gain instruction for recovering your username.

 

If you have forgotten your password, please follow these steps:

1. Click the word 'password' next to the word "Forgot" which is located underneath the "Log In" button or you may click the link provided here https://login.capitalone.com/loginweb/forgotidm/forgotpass.do.

2. In the first field provided it asks for your username. Enter your username in the field provided.

3. For the next field there is a dropdown menu for you to select whether the type of account you need to reset the password for is "Credit Card" or "Small Business Credit Card". Select which of the two account types you need to access.

4. Enter you account number in the next four fields that follow under the account type you just selected.

5. Next, correct the three fields that follow until they correct the date of birth that is associated with the account you are resetting for.

6. Under the date of birth are three fields requiring you to enter your social security number. Enter that information in the fields provided.

NOTE For Small Business Credit Card Account Holders: If you did not create the account using the Tax ID it’s acceptable to bypass entering it as long as you have done Step 5.

7. Click the green button to proceed to step 2 and follow the instruction to gain instruction for your password reset.

 

Banking

If you have forgotten your username, continue with the following steps:

1. Under the field that asks for your username, customer #, or saver ID click the words "ID or Customer #" next to the word "Forgotten".

2. An account type section will pop up and will allow for you to choose between "Capital One Bank" and "Capital One 360". Make the selection for the account type you desire to access by clicking it.

 

If you chose "Capital One Bank", follow these steps to recover your username:

3. In the first field, they are requiring you to enter your Social Security or Tax ID Number. Enter either one of those forms of identification in the field provided.

4. Next you will need to choose from a dropdown menu of about a dozen items to select your account type for the account you are trying to gain the username for. Select one of the options from the list by clicking on it.

5. Depending on your selection in step 2, you will have fields that require you enter the account info such as account numbers, expiry dates and the like. Enter the information for the account in the required fields that appear.

6. Click the green "submit" button and prepare to check your email that is registered with the account you are trying to access. Once you submit, the requested username will be emailed to that email address.

7. Once the username has been recovered from the email, proceed again with step 1 under the banking section of this article.

 

If you chose "Capital One 360", follow these steps to recover your username:

3. There will be a question there asking for your last four digits of your Social Security Number associated with the account. Enter the last four digits there in the field provided.

4. In the next field provided, enter the first five digits to your address zip code associated with the account you need to access.

5. Under the zip code field, enter the two digit month, two digit day, and four digit year to enter your date of birth.

6. Under the date of birth, you will need to now enter the ten digit phone number that is listed on file with Capital One for the account you need to access.

7. You will see two blue buttons now at the bottom right of the page, click the button labeled "Continue" in order to proceed with recovering the username for the account.

8. Once the username has been recovered from the email, proceed again with step 1 under the banking section of this article.

 

If you have forgotten your password, follow these steps for resetting the password for the account option you chose.

If you chose the "Capital One Bank" option and can't remember your password, follow these steps:

1. Under your entered username, you will see the option saying "Forgotten Password" click those words.

2. Enter your user ID in the field provided for it.

3. Click the green button labeled "Continue" to have the password recovery process sent to your email.

4. Once the password is recovered, refer back to step 1 of the process of logging into your Banking account as stated in this article.

 

If you chose the "Capital One 360", follow these steps:

1. The options that will show depending on your account setup, there may be security questions or only password options depending on how you have this account set up. Enter the required steps and proceed to receiving the password recovery.

2. Once the password is recovered, refer back to step 1 of the process of logging into your Banking account as stated in this article.

 

Auto Loans

If you have forgotten your user ID, follow these steps to access your account:

1. Click the Forgot user ID text under the two fields for entering your information.

2. In the first field, they are requiring you to enter your Social Security or Taxpayer ID. Enter either one of those forms of identification in the field provided.

3. Next you will need to choose from a dropdown menu of items to select your account type for the account you are trying to gain the username for. Select one of the options from the list by clicking on it.

4. Depending on your selection in step 2, you will have fields that require you enter the account info such as account numbers, expiry dates and the like. Enter the information for the account in the required fields that appear.

5. Click the green "submit" button and prepare to check your email that is registered with the account you are trying to access. Once you submit, the requested user ID will be emailed to that email address.

6. Once the user ID has been recovered from the email, proceed again with step 1 under the Auto Loans section of this article.

 

If you have forgotten your password, follow these steps:

1. Click the words "Forgotten Password" under the text fields provided.

2. Enter your user ID in the field provided.

3. Click the green "Continue" button to proceed with obtaining the password via email.

4. Once the password is recovered, refer back to step 1 of the process of logging into your Auto Loans account as stated in this article.

 

ShareBuilder Investing

If you have forgotten your username, follow these steps:

1. Click the text "Forgot Username" that appear under the field asking for username.

2. Enter the last four digits for the social security of the primary person on the account you need to access.

3. Next, enter the zip code that has been recorded when the account was created into the field provided.

4. Under the zip code is a field that needs for you to enter your two digit month, two digit date, and four digit year for the birth date associated with the account.

5. Enter the last name of the primary account holder of the account in the next field under the birth date.

6. Click the green "Next" button to proceed with instruction on where to recover your username.

7. Once the username is recovered, refer back to step 1 of the process of logging into your ShareBuilder Investing Account as stated in this article.

 

If you have forgotten your password, follow these steps:

1. To the right of the field that requests the password underneath the image/picture, it will ask "Forgot your password?” Click on that text question.

2. There are three fields that will need information before they will send your instruction for recovering or resetting your password. In the first field, enter the last four digits of the Social Security Number listed on the account.

3. In the second field, enter the zip code that is on file for the account.

4. In the last field, enter your two digit month, two digit date, and four digit year for the date of birth associated with the account.

5. Click the green button on the bottom right to request your password. This will let you know where you will recover your password.

6. Once the password is recovered, refer back to step 1 of the process of logging into your ShareBuilder Investing Account as stated in this article.

 

Home Loans

Capital One 360 Mortgage / Home Equity

If you have forgotten your answers to your questions, follow these steps:

1. Click the text "Don't remember your answers?" that appear under the question answer fields and highlighted in blue.

2. Enter the last four digits for the social security of the primary person on the account you need to access.

3. Next, enter the zip code that has been recorded when the account was created into the field provided.

4. Under the zip code is a field that needs for you to enter your two digit month, two digit date, and four digit year for the birth date associated with the account.

5. Enter the phone number of the primary account holder of the account in the next field under the birth date.

6. Click the blue "Continue" button to proceed with instruction on where to recover your account access.

7. Once the account access information is recovered, refer back to step 1 of the process of logging into your Home Loans Account as stated in this article.

 

If you have forgotten your customer #, follow these steps:

1. Click the text asking if you have forgotten your customer # which is directly under the text field provided.

2. Enter the last four digits for the social security of the primary person on the account you need to access.

3. Next, enter the zip code that has been recorded when the account was created into the field provided.

4. Under the zip code is a field that needs for you to enter your two digit month, two digit date, and four digit year for the birth date associated with the account.

5. Enter the phone number of the primary account holder of the account in the next field under the birth date.

6. Click the blue "Continue" button to proceed with instruction on where to recover your customer number.

7. Once the customer # is recovered, refer back to step 1 of the process of logging into your Home Loans Account as stated in this article.

 

Capital One Mortgage

If you have forgotten your password, follow these steps.

1. Under the text field where you are asked to enter your password there is a question asking if you have forgotten your password. Click the question that is asked there. This will take you to the instruction for how you will recover your password.

2.  Once the password is recovered, refer back to step 1 of the process of logging into your Home Loans Account as stated in this article.

NOTE: You must already have entered your username in order to retrieve the password for this type of account. If you do not know the username, refer to one of the contact numbers provided later in this article.

 

Capital One Home Equity

If you have forgotten your user ID, follow these steps:

1. Directly under the text field that you should enter your user ID is a highlighted question asking if you have forgotten the user ID. Click that highlighted text.

2. In the first field, they are requiring you to enter your Social Security or Taxpayer ID. Enter either one of those forms of identification in the field provided.
